I had no idea what to do on the Ti inlays for ages but finaly landed on a modern yet traditional solution to my problem. This fits the Mnandi well as it is obviously a more traditionally styled pocket knife but made to a high modern standard.
The bolsters are hand sanded Ti while the jigged part has a chemically induced oxide coating. I went for a two tone selective colouring as it is of course a bit of a signature of CRK having the range of anodised knives with UG and Lisa's picks. When doing a mod it's nice to at least try and honor the original maker in some way, you are "ruining" one of their knives after all. :D

I hope you all like it, it's my personal carry Mnandi so be nice. :p

Looks beautiful! You did a great job on the mods with this knife. Very classy and certainly doesn't come off as "adulterated" like many mod jobs on knives like these do. I'd be proud to being carrying that ever day. Thanks for sharing.

Looks great! The oxide coating on the jigged section really takes it to another level.

Beautiful work Haze! I definitely eventually want to get a nice inlay Mnandi, when I find the right inlay and have the funds. But I'd definitely like a ti-inlay Mnandi. I like your jigged/bolster idea, but I would really like a Wilson Combat Mnandi. It would really look nice next to my other Wilson CRK's.

Thank you all kindly for the nice words. :) I'm glad I went for this rather than the vines and leaves I very nearly engraved....

Very nice.
You are my hero.
Did you do the custom job with the scales on?
red mag

The scales can be taken off the knife at any time, doing a mod like that with them on the knife would be asking for something to go wrong.

Looks absolutely amazing! Nice work.

How does it look on the backside?

The pictures show both sides. There is a Ti inlay on the lock and off side. :)

That is spectacular. After seeing your work in the past I'm not surprised but I am always a little awed.
