Ti-lock lock strength - the little field test

An added benefit to all the great functional aspects of the Ti Lock is the aesthetics. It is so beautiful, almost jewel like (I happen to have an Elemental but I'm sure it applies to them all) that it is totally unintimidating. I've had more than a few raised eyebrows when using a smaller Emerson or Benchmade in my office. The Ti Lock garners admiration for its looks and engineering.

I still have my eyes on a Ti-lock hopefully by Christmas I will have one. Maybe a present for myself!

Did you take any pictures?

Here's a couple more with an insert.

In the past I have totally dismissed the TiLock, I did not feel it was a true CRK design, just felt too, flashy, I guess. It was such a big departure from the Sebenza's clean work lines.

I have since warmed up to it, and the add of the Sebenza clip seems to be helping. But I can be a little OCD, and while I really like the blue anodizing on the lock bar, it may bug me a bit when it starts to fade.

I'm trying, I really am.

Same here! That was partially why i got the Elemental...no blue on the lock bar...and in my opinion the solid scales without holes look pretty good too...

I was not able to clean it directly, so after getting home I rinsed it with warm water and it was clean as before. No need to dissasemble it. It gives really good control cause its a not to long blade.

Here's mine with the Sebenza clip. I polished the clip a bit with 800 grit sandpaper to get it to match the scales a bit more.

With a physical sciences education, I was very interested in the unusual design of the TiLock before I bought it.

I was just not prepared for how incredible it feels in my hand, starting from the first time I picked it up. It is hard to describe, but something about the combination of the TiLock's balance, strength, and light weight makes it uniquely delightful to handle and use. I really don't think it's just my bias in favor of this knife.
