OK, the Ti-Lock Prototype is currently available on Ebay. I asked for pictures of the actual knife, not just stock photos, so he uploaded some for me. It looked way different than the stock photos. One of the main things that I liked, but I'm sure everyone else will hate is that it does indeed say, IDAHO MADE. I kinda like it, but the new lanyard design does disappoint. I'm sure that I would like it better in real life. Anyways. Check it out. I'm interested in getting some feedback on what you guys think. I'm sure there will be some very colorful answers. I, personally, will own one, after the non-proto's come out.

odd. the ti lock prototype i handled at the plaza cutlery custom show didnt say idaho made on it.

It's a bit of a shame really but there are a few things I don't like about that knife. Over all it looks like a nice
peice and I would defo. like to handle the production version before making any final decisions about it.

I think the Idaho Made kind of ruined the knife. I was actually going fm buy one but I will not now. it doesn't bother me as much on the Zaans but the Sebenza and Ti lock look more clean than the Zaans therefore unacceptable. What a shame.

i think the stamp was started after the show. or at least when we were made aware of it here.

i handled the same one, neat little knife.

its about midway between the small and large sebenzas. it opens easy enough, but i would need some practice getting it closed without dropping it. i would prefer a solid scale without the cutout designs, or even an inlay version.

one of the dealers has at least one for sale. knifeart or plazacutlery maybe.

I'm willing to bet the one that we handled at the Plaza show is still with Chris. According to him that was the original proto, and it definitely wasn't stamped.

doesn't bother me so much on this blade. However the Ti-Lock isn't looking like a must buy just yet. Not until I hold it can I really say if I like it or now.

I would agree. I've never really been much for skeletonized style folders. That lock is interesting, not sure I'd be ready for that quite yet.

I wish Chris would stamp that on the blade near the pivot pin - it would be a lot easier to swallow I think.

It really detracts from the knife.

If it was his logo made bigger, or a cool slogan he adopted for his company, I might be a little more receptive.

I understand why he is doing what he is doing, but I don't like it.

:thumbdn: I don't like the looks of this one at all. In this case, the stamp makes no difference.

To be honest the clip bugs me more then the stamp.

The knife also feels very "busy" to me. With the lock, the skeleton handles, the clip. :(

If it came with the traditional CRK clip and solid handles I would definitely pick one up.

Yea,I don't like the clip either.Unless I can put a Seb or Zaan clip on it with no drilling,I won't be picking one of these up.

I like everything else about the knife.

I don't think I like it enough to buy one! The lock seems like it could have durablity issues being pressed into the blade and like it will snag on anything you would slice through .

I got one and before you ask, no I am not selling it. It is now part of my personal collection.

I think the knife is terrific- quality you wound expect from CRK and a very cool and different item to their normal fare.

I put my order in for the regular production as soon as I saw the proto at the Blade Show.

Take care, Neil

The Stamp doesn't bother me as much as the blue lock. It looks like it would collect all kinds of nasty stuff if you were actually using it. I guess you could make it a vault Queen. Only my opinion.
