+1 to that suggestion - To me ANY Sprint Run Salsa would be VERY nice and much appreciated!
 
Get rid of the Cobra hood and I'd be all over it. Loved the one I had, but sold it when I was too new to knives to really comprehend how great it was (had dexterity issues with the compression lock)

Its funny how peoples tastes are different - I love the Cobra Hood, and I wish more Spydies had em - I have the Assist and a few Salsa's....now I need to add an ATR.

Sal G., if you happen to be reading - wonder if you could tell us if there would be any future Spydies with a Cobra Hood..?
 
If you read the old archives pre release of the Hood on spyderco.com, you'll see much anticipation. Once experienced many didn't care for the down side. In tip down, the Hood is very much in the way for anything else in the pocket. For tip up, it acts as a random wave feature that opens the blade when not desired and for potential damage.

Maybe a "Half-Hood", where it only protruded on one side. Make the hood completely reversible for left or right pocket carry.

Or a "Mini-hood with approximately half the protrusion on each side, although at that point it might be a "why bother?" maneuver.
 
given the wide salsa blade, cobra hood is totally unnecessary. because the ti salsa is tip-up only, I had the ti salsa open in my pocket twice because of the hood -- left a cut on my finger and a cut on the pocket. ended up selling the knife.
