TiCN removal?

Hi all, quick question for some of you who are more knowledgeable than myself. I have a Spyderco PPT sprint run that has a TiCN blade coating. I was wondering if there was a way to safely remove TiCN from a blade without using any abrasives or doing much damage to the steel. I've never been a fan of coated blades, plus there are some pretty deep scratches in the coating anyway. Sorry if there is a thread about this already.

Soaking in hydrogen peroxide might work. Peroxide tends to damage the titanium nitride coatings, bodycote mentioned this once during a Blade Show q & a in regards to their gold Titanium Nitride finished bathroom faucets being damaged. They couldn't figure out why at first, but it eventually came to light that it was folks using hydrogen peroxide to bleach their hair and then handling the faucets that did it.

Thanks! I might give it a try. I've found a coupe of harsh chemicals that might work, but it seems like they would easily eat through steel as well as the finish.
