Tie-dye anyone? The Idube Sebenza (lotsa pics)

yours would fall under the "embellishment" umbrella....:D :p

Thanks, Daniel. :D I don't journey much beyond Gadgets and Gear so I didn't know there was a new forum made. Just finished posting the pimping titanium with Oxi Clean steps. :)

Yeah, it worked good.
I dribbled rubber cement on it and did the Oxyclean thing and then flame colored it. It was pretty wild, but I didn't like it, so I rubbed it with Scotch brite and then just flame colored it.

Lemme see if I can find a pic.

It's cool. The rubber cement protects a portion (whatever you "draw" with the cement) from the Oxyclean darkening. Then, when you remove the rubber cement and apply flame heat, it reacts more with the un-Oxycleaned portions, causing the pattern to become more colorful and creating interesting contrasts with the dark oxy-treated portions.

Combine that with the fact that scotchbrite quickly and easily removes it all, and provides and nice "brushed" finish, and there's no end to the possibilities.

have you tried to do it in the other order
heat first then mask and oxy dip

Nope. Never tried that.
I traded this one off and the only two Sebenzas I have now are Classics that were pimped by Matt Cucchiara, so they're staying as they are.

I know the thread is a kettle older, but the pics are dead in op...anyone have pics of what the oxy clean process finishes up looking like?
