"Tiffany's" Buck 500?

A friend asked me for info' on this one, and I'm stumped. I assume it's a SFO from 1990, but as to how many were made and value?????

It's a small lockback marked "BUCK/507X/U.S.A." On the rear bolster, it's stamped "Tiffany & Co./Sterling Silver/925." Apparently both handles are cast sterling silver

Anyone got anything on these?
 
i know that buck put out some real silver knives in the gent's style, but i have not seen this before, it could be that tiff ordered some on spechel order... it is a verry neat looking one..is it yours now ?

And it appears to be a letter-by-letter stamp...very well done, too...I have a 1/16" stamp set and I can't do anywhere near as neat a stamp as that... :rolleyes:
 
334dave, no this one is not mine, they asked me cause I am a Buck fan, but the 500 series I have never researched much myself.
 
I think the 507 was the "Ultima" in 1980 with aluminum scales as a "Classic" and later with Mother of Pearl and went out of production in 92 or 94. I saw one of these "Tiffany's" for sale several years ago, as I recall with a very hefty price tag, I couldn't consider buying it. A nice knife in anyones collection.
 
The only thing I'd worry about is having to potentially face conversations like the following:

"Nice Knife. Where'd you get it?"

"Oh, I got it at Tiffany's"

"Really, you bought your knife at Tiffany's? Where do you buy your underwear, Victoria's Secret?"

Naa...I never find anything in there that will hold up a 110 in a sheath without falling around my ankles! :mad:
 
The Last Confederate, I was looking for another knife and found your Tiffany's 507 on page 473 of Blade's Guide in the 1993 Buck's

TLC....I have seen something somewhere on that knife other than the Blade book. For the life of me I can't find the info right now... Will keep looking.

Am sure Larry or Joe will be along,,,,,,

Hi,

I was searching online for info on my sterling silver Buck knife w/ Tiffany & Co stamp...exactly like this one you asked about a few years back, only mine has been engraved w/ someone's initials. I was wondering if you ever found out the value? I'd really appreciate any info you could share.
