Agreed for that blade shape, the 13esq handle with the low slung blade rocks. I like the upswept Roadhouse blade for the other grip shape, particularly as a Super. That said, a Super CSF would be irresistible to me.

I think the Tiger takes what's excellent about the CQC8 and evolved itself into a incredible all purpose design. If you like the CQC8 then you should love the Tiger.
We all know its a great fighting knife but its similar blade shape as used on the CQC8 has made it a legend as a do-it-all design. Factor in the belly of the Tiger is now lower, it will slice much like a food prep knife. Pull or draw slices should be incredible.. IMO, the Tiger has the best conventional blade shape in the Emerson catalog.

I'm wondering that too. So, I took the plunge and ordered a stone-washed version today.

I find that they function just fine for all the utility purposes I have put mine through. Right there with the Horseman and 8's. I feel that it is better at that than the Combat Systems Fighter. I don't see or have experienced any drawbacks. I also don't buy knives based on kill/defend worthiness but rather utilitarian uses, ease of use and maintenance.
