Its not near as nice or as well crafted as the land shark but its my first attempt with only files and a dremel not even clamps! Let me know what you think. Thanks

there's definitely some talent in this forum :) [now, where is it? j/k]...

that's awesome stuff. i'm sure it pleases the Ethan man that so many people hack his blades into new awesome things...

Thanks twin

And bladite the artist is only ever as good as the canvas he uses and Ethan has given everyone whose every mod-d a Becker an awesome foundation

Really nice mod brother, I like it a lot.

Thanks everyone. here are some more pics for your viewing pleasure. The scales were dyed brown then filed to show the natural color, the jibbing was done with a small triangle file, and the firesteel notch was done with a sanding drum on a dremel. I dont know why but i dont have any vices or clamps so i had to hold it with my hands during each mod and that left lots of imperfections but i like it and it wouldnt be mine if it didnt have some little quirks :D The sheath is a CRKS sheath that ill be using untiil Mywifethinksimcrazy finishes the scout carry leather sheath he is working on.

as you can see the sone side isnt totally finished, i need to connect some stripes i just ran outta time and i wanted to show it off :D

I also just ordered another pair of natural micarta for the 9. Im thinking of trying a snake skin type effect with the same method. Wish me luck.

There is nothing like making your becker yours and unlike any other.looks good man.Makes me want some new handles of some kind.

I'm diggin' it. Love the contrast of the handles, in that one pice, it blends in with that tree bark really well.

Pot lifter? Firesteel Notch? Both? :D

The jimping looks better'n mine.

Great work brother.

How does the handle feel? Micarta tends to rub my sensitive skin, makes blisters even.

What pattern of snakeskin thinkin?

Not sure, but the dremel attachment I have is shaped like a scale so im thinking of overlapping the sanding horizontally for that snake skin look.

Your right tho maybe tiger shark wont work, how about hardwood camo?

I didn't go all that deep to avoid hot spots so they feel great. After filing I hit it with 400 sandpaper and they feel as if they were produced that way. Im pretty proud of it and the response it got. I keep looking at the pics and picking out every flaw and cringing, thinking that it looks like crap

Its some great work, we are all harder critics on our own work than others. You should be proud.

Thanks I really am, deep down, under all the self criticism. After doing this one and coming up with the snake scale idea I feel really confident for the next go round. Its gonna be epic

That is some nice work!! Now with you and maethor doing stuff to your 2's it's making me want to do something to mine. Hmmm.......
