These are some pretty cool scales at affordable prices. Nothing overly exotic, but will make dramatic handles.
The Hickory was plenty hard before stabilizing but I thought it made sense to invest a little more money into the best blocks. The curly figure in these looks like tiger stripes.
The Sycamore was cut quarter sawn to show off the snakeskin patterns you can get with sycamore when it is cut right.
