Both of these Gen 1 Mk 4 hawks come with our BUG head modification, Paracord Overstrike protection, and Retractable Lanyard, all Standard.
The Paracord Wraps around the butts provide an elegant hand stop that cooperates with the proprietary cross section of our composite endo-/exo-skeletal handle, the Gen 1 Mk 4.
These wraps are tied so that they do not move unless you want them to, and then they are easily replaceable in the field, after being used as extra line, when the need arises.
The plug covering the Through Tube is Chloroprene, with stainless hardware.
View down a Through Tube, which can retain your survival items when enclosed with the included plugs, or functions as a Fire Bellows, Blow Gun, or whatever you can think of.
The skins of these hawks are a micro-veneer Micarta we fashion around the main composite bodies of the handles. We call it Snake Skin.
The designs on each hawk are embedded under an Epoxy Vapor Coat. The surface of the Snake Skin is slightly rough, which allows great traction for sweaty or wet hands, while its micro-pebble finish is kind on your bare fingers and palm.
