Here is a fighter in ancient fossil walrus ivory that was a harpoon (hole in bottom to hold the spear. The ivory was collected by native Alaskan Inuit indians on private native land in St. Lawrence, Alaska. Est. age is est. 2000 years old. Blade length is 9 1/2 inches and overall is 15 1/8 inches. Sterling ferrule and nickel silver fittings my Ladder pattern Damascus made with 1084 steel and 15n20. It is razor sharp and a wicked point. Comes with the stand of Black Walnut. The handle is solid and out of the ground for 18 months and the end is how I got it, except I polished it. More pictures upon request. One of my finer ones This one is "600.00" plus 12.00 priority mail. My paypal and e-mail is dangraves4923@earthlink.net Thanks.

Thank you gentlemen. I appreciate the good words. It was a fun one to build. When I bought the handle I was excited to build it. I saw it in my mind and knew the Damascus would have to be spot on for a handle this nice. I feel lucky to be able to work with a piece of fossil walrus like this one. Again, thanks.

I can almost feel the warmth coming off that fossil walrus ivory. Stunning piece! Your price is a steal.

Very nice knife. Excellent work.
What you are calling St. Lawrence, Alaska is actually St. Lawrence Island. The 2 towns on the Island are Gambell and. Savoonga. Most artifacts, which is what your harpoon head is, come from Gambell.
The people on St. Lawrence Island are not Inuit "Indians". They are Siberian Yupik Eskimos. I've been there and know some of the people.
