Tighten Pommel & Guard ?

i have this older Rehwappen (Linder), stag handled hunting knife. the guard and pommel are both loose. can i use the pinned screw on the butt to tighten it up ? any advice ? thanks, roland

Yes, if the threads on the tang are long enough. If not, you may have to use a spacer under the pommel nut.
You can modify a screwdriver to fit the nut.
