Tightening and what to expect from open top sheath

Leather is thick, or maybe I am not doing it right. Doesn't seem to be forming much.

Putting it in oven, but only an hour. Not the 3 horse advised. Late, and wanted to give it try.
 
Half hour in oven, made a difference. I did it with knife in. Not sure if supposed to

No I do them without the knife in the oven. some epoxies would start to soften at that temp.
 
I started to wonder about any glues too. Mine is wood handle, and not sure if anything to worry. Was in about 30 minutes including preheat. Was late at night, so didn't do 3 hours. At camp so gone during days.



The sheath is tight now, and want to carry. The wet molding didn't take much shape. Seems like thick leather.

Might also pick up a small bark river******edit been reading lots of stuff on here. Googled Mike Stewart, should be added to the discussions he is not a Yooper, he is from Philadelphia.
