*****SOLD***** Up for grabs is my Tim Hancock MS Bowie. Tim made this in 1998. It has a great piece of stag for the handle, a single guard made of iron, and a matching piece of iron for the butt cap with a fleur-de-lis design and steel button. It has never been carried, used or resharpened. It has not been stored in the sheath. It has been stored with the blade coated in gun oil and wrapped in butcher paper.
It is in excellent condition. There are no cracks in the stag. You'll notice the swedge or false edge that Tim has done on the blade. It runs the entire length of the cutting edge. If you were to look at the blade under magnification you'd see minor peppering on the blade that is barely visible to the naked eye. Despite my best efforts over these past 10+ years I was not able to prevent what normally occurs to many forged blades. It in no way detracts from the beauty and craftsmanship of the knife. Tim's knives are scarce and highly collectible. The leather sheath is also made by Tim. With David Darom's new book Tim Hancock The Western Bladesmith now available, Tim's knives are sure to become even more desireable.
Measurements:
Overall length: 12 1/2"
Blade: 7 3/4" from tip to guard
Guard: 1/2"
Stag Handle: 4 1/4" including the butt cap
Asking $SOLD shipped insured in the CONUS.
The first "I'll take it" by any means of communication, gets it.
I'd prefer Postal Money Orders to avoid the big fee, but if you must I will take PayPal (no fees).
I am not interested in any trades. Thanks for looking...
