Good morning Bladeforum's members. I'm both pleased & proud to say I will be offering hand made slipjoint folders by Oklahoma maker Tim Robertson.
Tim is a self taught part time maker who has been at it about a decade. He does it mostly for the enjoyment ,he says. You can tell by the fantastic fit & finish . I was very impressed with his knives to say the least. Tim has used many steels for his folders but prefers CPM-154 ss these days.
This " Lanny's Clip" is 3-7/8" closed. The blade measures 3-1/8" from tip to ss bolster, with 2-7/8" of cutting edge. It opens up to 7" OAL. Super smooth action, with a positive pull I'd call 5+ to 6,perfect,I can "pinch" it open . Blade centers perfectly closed, spring is flush with liners in all half stop positions.Thin hollow grind, razor sharp slicer . Scales are good looking natural linen micarta with white liners. The blade has a high satin hand rubbed finish, long pull, and perfect swedge. This is a fantastic knife and I'm offering it at an introductory price.
$old
So check it out and comment if you'd like. Hat's off to Tim Robertson , very impressive work. Looking forward to many more . Thanks All,-Vince
