Guys,

I am new to this forum. I just purchased a rather unique knife. It is a dagger in a copper sheath. It is rather ornate. It has Shultz on the blade as well as Rostfrei, which I believe is German for rust free.

I have a photo but do not know if I can post it here.

Please advise.

Tim

Welcome to Bladeforums......this thread is worthless without pics....get busy. :)

Is photobucket safe to join?

Any other way to show pic?

Yes, Photobucket is safe to join. I would imagine that Flickr or most of the other popular photo sharing sites are safe as well. That's the free way to show pix. The paid way is to upgrade your membersip to one of the paid levels. You get image storage and posting rights with paid membership. I'm a Gold member and I still use Photobucket because it's so convenient.

Welcome to Bladeforums!

I moved this to Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting & Identification forum. We do need pictures! :)

A dagger aprox 7 inchs blade length, with the words Shultz and Rostfrei engraved on the blade.

The sheath is very ornate and made of Copper.

Any ideas who made it and when.

My guess is after WW2.

Very neat knife. Sorry I don't know anything about it.

But did you know you can insert the photo into your post just by copying the IMG code from the Photobucket website? Just like this:

Saves everyone from having to click links to see your pics. ;)

And welcome to Bladeforums!

tim8758, this is a disaster. Stop posting in new threads. Add your posts to this one thread so we can keep track of everything. Without me having to merge all of them.
