ivan , david from australia here how is this one locking up? . the one you sent me not this model, mine with san mei blade has very early lockup where the locking bar is well over halfway of the blade thickness . i can push it with my finger until it is almost over the right side of the blade . anyway it is not a great worry to me as i believe too much empathis is put on early lockup . i would say for strength lockup should be in the middle of the blade thickness. anyway i'm interested in this one and would offer you $500 all in for this knife . apologies but i'm not interested in paying any more for it as i believe that is its value . . kind regards dave

Thanks à lot for your feedback, David! This is what allows knifemakers to keep improving their work. Your folder is number 4, I guess, and I have made several more since, each one a little better than thé last as I learn more and gain more control over the process of making folders.
Regarding your offer, knowing that someone got one of my pieces and wants another is aways a good indicator that I am doing things right. Thé Price of my knives is dictâted by the time and effort involved in making each piece from design development to its execution, plus thé cost of materials - in this case very expensive - plus shop expendables like drill bits and grinding belts, shop maintenance costs, not to mention my 32 years of expérience and knowledge gathering in this profession, and the profit that I make on to of it that allows me to earn a living as a professional knifemaker. We also have Paypal costs for international payment processing of the order of 7% and shipping costs that I am absorbing to a poynt as now I am sending all orders express for the same price of standard shipping. Considerng all that, I am sure you realize my knives have a very competitive value and I am very thankful for your offer knowing that it is an effort on your part to get another of my creations. Unfortunatelly, I just can’t get this much discount but am willing to discuss with you ways that can help you get the knife you want and Will do what ever is within my reach só we can make this deal happen.
