It is in perfect condition and has never been used or resharpened, as shown in the pictures.

In 1993, Timberline Knives collaborated with custom knifemaker Ernest Emerson (his first collaboration with a knife manufacturer) to create their version of his SPECWAR model.
This knife features a one-sided, chisel-ground tanto blade that is almost 1/4 inch thick.
Its handle was made from fiberglass-reinforced nylon, molded around a nearly full tang.
Vaughn Neeley of Timberline designed the sheath.
The knife was originally a custom piece designed for Naval Special Warfare Group One, and this factory version was soon entered in the trials for the Navy SEALs knife in 1995.
This Emerson-Neeley SPECWAR knife won Blade Magazine's 1995 American Made Knife of the Year Award at the magazine's Blade Show in Atlanta, Georgia, that same year and was displayed as an exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in New York City from May 24 to August 15, 1995.

For sale by the original owner! $450.00 OBO

**Attention Collectors!!**
This Custom Handmade, Very Rare Mike Sanders Hunters-Backpackers Knife Set Was Bought Brand New Directly From The Knife Maker Around 2007-2010.
The two knives were never used, handled, or sharpened, and they are in new condition except for a slight scratch on the right side of the large blade.
Mike was an excellent knife maker and, more importantly, a great person!
Mike personally sharpened the second edge at an extra cost upon purchase.

The way Mike made Micarta Contoured Scales, they are very comfortable in your hand!
Please see a picture of the used one, which shows significant wear and was recently sold for $795.00.

A little info on the knife maker.
Mike Sanders 1943-2015
Mike started making knives in 1965 as a hobby.
He was a full-time Louisiana knife maker since 1985.
Mike has created numerous knives for various organizations and causes, selling them as fundraisers and donations over the years.
He has sold and shipped a wide range of knives to customers across the United States and internationally.
Examples of the knives he made include one-of-a-kind bowies, as well as daggers, miniatures, slip joint and liner lock folders, and fantasy knives.
Mike was a heck of a knifemaker and a heck of a friend.
He will be dearly missed.

Ditto to the above requirement.

Lenny is new here and while he gets his pics sorted - I have to say that he is the real deal and a great dude to deal with! I've had several deals on other sites that went flawlessly.
