• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

How about them? The good, the bad, and the ugly? I did a search and came up with a little, just wondering if anyone has one and uses it hard.

I believe they're made from 440 stainless steel I would stick to carbon.

I have an older one. The bush plane survival one I believe it is called. It is top shelf! Small and easy to carry, well designed and made sheath. Scary sharp convex edge. Stays sharp too, which is very important (and not often mentioned). I have done a lot of chopping with it and a quick touch with my pocket diamond stone puts it back to nearly shaving sharp.

My sone recently picked up a comdo set with the Timberline knife. It's a nice rig. The sheath on this one leaves a little to be desired, but the knife is awesome! A nice thick blade for chopping and yet very sharp. what more could you ask for. I'd highly recommend one.

I love the looks of it. Seems to a nice, capable, compact tool. Wish it was carbon steel, but it just looks so handy, I think I'll have to have it.

I just picked up a BSA (I think) Hatchet at a surplus shop yesterday. One of the ones that's a one piece unit with wood handle scales. I'm going to strip the nasty shade of green paint that the whole thing is coated with and probably cold blue it and put on custom wood handle scales.
