****CONTEST CLOSED--WINNER DRAWN****

I give *three* Bucks… in a random Holiday giveaway! So post up and you could win all three NIB Buck Knives!

What you could win:

A “Collector’s Edition” tin containing a 379 Solo and 373 Trio—both quite handsome, well-made (in China) with 420J2 stainless steel (I think) and pinned wooden scales. Loads of character in these little fellas!

A 424 Bucklite lockback made in USA with Buck’s famous 420HC stainless steel, Valox (plastic) scales, non-clipped with lanyard hole. At 1.4oz, it’s perfect for tossing in a lunchpail, PSK, FAK or right into the pocket for EDC! Comes with Buck’s ‘Forever Warranty.’ And forever is a long time...

How you can win ‘em:

In order to win this nifty prize pack, you need only to post a story or photo of your favourite Buck knife. The winner will be chosen by random number generator, so please post only once. You must be over 18yrs old to qualify (don’t make me ask for a permission note from your parent and/or guardian! :grumpy:)

****Winner will be drawn and announced on Sunday, January 8th 2012.****

Helped my uncle process a deer with a 119, one of my fondest memories as a youngin' :D

Thanks for the chance!

I would always see my grandfather using his and carrying it around pretty much all the time. So I always wanted one as a kid. I got my first 110 in when I was 12 years old and it is still my FAVORITE knife. It may not be pretty anymore, but man if knives could talk... This one would have a billion stories to tell.

My favorite Buck is the 303 my grandpa gave me when I was young, I EDCed that for a few years.

Another time when I was around 8 I was snooping through my dad's hunting stuff and found his Buck 110. I just remember thinking "wow this is the biggest pocket knife I ever seen!"

Thanks for the chance!

My fave is my TNT, which I've had for a while and is one of the best value Ti framelocks I've ever had. Too bad they're discontinued...

Not sure if this counts, but I figured I would try.

I've never owned a buck knife, or do I know anyone that has one (crazy I know, but I don't know many other knife people IRL). I've looked into the Bucklite a few times, and would really like the chance at trying one out, and then getting some carry time with it. Maybe then I'll get my own stories :).

Thanks for the chance, and if this doesn't count as an entry, good luck to everyone else :).

Here's my favorite Buck at the moment.I've been meaning to get one of those 110's from Cabelas or Bass Pro.I can't believe I have all these folders & not one 110.

Thanks for the chance!

Thank you for the opportunity. When I was in the USAF in the early 70's I picked up a Buck 110 cheap at the BX. I used and carried it regularly until 1995 when I moved to central Mexico. Here they make beautiful leather goods that are handstitched decoratively with "pita" a natural white thread made from the leaves of the maguey. I met a leatherworker and after almost a year asked him to make a pouch for my 110 and a Gerber lockback my son had given me. I gave him the knives to fit and form them. About a month later when he told me they would be ready I made a visit to see about the progress. He had neither the pouches nor the knives... only a big toothy grin. I could have knifed him there and then but jail time without trial etc. being a "gringo or gabacho"... I just left and never returned. I hope he liked the knives or got a good price for them.

Now after many years I still don't have a Buck in my possesion. That was a nice knife back then and today would be one of my most prized along with the little Gerber.

Thanks for your generosity. My first "Buck" encounter was going out into the woods with my now deceased Uncle for the first time and him pulling out his Buck 119 to carve up some kindling for a fire. I thought it was the coolest looking knife I had ever seen!

Cheers, CW

my favorite buck moment is from when i sent my grandpa a buck stockman in the dymondwood comfort craft scales, i went down to utah since my grandmother died and he was so happy that i sent him that buck, he got it out and showed it to me and told me that he knew it would be such a great knife since its a buck. i loved seeing that smile on his face. and we were all pretty upset with my grandmothers death. i randomly just bought that buck knife and decided to send it to him a few months earlier just for the heck of it.

Sometimes I would carry a Buck 105 or 110 with me when I was in high school. Most of the time I had a stockman (with indented bolsters/phenolic handles) with me. If class was boring, I'd whittle patterns on wooden pencils. My favorite thing was to ask a friend if I could borrow a pencil. I'd carve it up and make it look nice and give it back to them after class. If they asked me what I did to their pencil, I would apologize for chewing on it. My teachers never bothered me about my Bucks.

Mine would be the Bucklite 442 (plain edge, black handles) that I re-found in my toolbox. It's missing the pocket clip. I added a one-armed bandit (screw-on thumb stud) to it a long time ago. The blade has developed some play with use and can't be tightened since it's pin construction. My wife once used it to pry open a paint can, breaking the tip. I reground it to a modified drop point. I added a lanyard and the knife now gets used as frequently as it ever did. It still takes a razor-sharp edge. Photos to come soon if my SD card reader decides to work.

Thank you for the chance! This is my favorite Buck knife, and has been with me forever. As you can see, it has been used extensively. :D I sometimes carry it, but I'd rather not loose my bud.

Thanks for the chance. Quite a generous season around here.

Thanks for the chance!

One time I gave a Buck 110 to one of my girlfriends friends and she stuck it in her purse and forgot about it. She was walking her new puppy and it saw something and took off. She chased after it and found it dangling by the neck from a vine. She used the 110 to cut it loose and saved its life. So that's basically turning a frown upside down

My favourite buck sitting beside my BM440 :)
It was a Gift from my girlfriend as a anniversary present!

The only Buck ive owned was the summer i was 12, my Grand Uncle gave it to me in trade for a few cords of wood i split for him
I dont remember much about it other than i spent the time i had it, whittlin and cutting anything i could get my hands on
I remeber it was a folder, and maybe 4 inch closed with a leather belt sheath
I lost it after falling in the river fishing only a few weeks later

Thanks for the chance
Mike
