Timberweasel don’t give a Buck…

A Buck 500 Duke solidified my step dad as ok. My dad died and a few years later mom got remarried. Seemed like a good guy. but when he got a Duke for me for Christmas from his brother who is a Buck Knife rep, he was in solid:thumbup:

Thanks for the chance.

Merry Christmas

Probably my favorite Buck knife is my Cadet 303 the wife gave me 5 months back. It goes with me pretty much everywhere.

Story behind it as told by her to me, was that she got it because she just wanted to do something nice for me. Then she went on to tell me about the others she had looked at before she decided on that one. She had went out of state to visit her family and I wasnt able to go due to work. The way she told it though just had that mischievous tone to it and when it all came out she had bought a bunch of stuff for jewelry making and got me the knife as a "but look what I got you" kind of gift. That being said I had no problem at all with the jewelry stuff and got a kick out of the fact she bought me a knife and put the thought into it. In the end though we both had a good laugh about it and I wound up with a great little knife.

Thanks for the opportunity!

Hi timberweasle -

Nice giveaway, thank you for the chance to own one of these Bucks.

I think this is my favorite Buck right now - it is my early 112 with Micarta scales - these are getting hard to find and spendy when found!

My story is short but meaningful to me. The second knife from the left was given to me by grandparents (both gone now) for Christmas 1985. It's a simple Buck 3-blade stockman. It may have not been my very first knife, but it's the earliest one that I still have.

My favorite buck is the old 301 I found in my dads chest of drawers. It was loose, had a dark patina and was much sharpened. I just wanted to tighten it up so it was sent to Buck and it came back razor sharp and looking like a new knife. Thus the start of my fondness for all things Buck.

I have a few stories of Buck Knives, and they all involve good fun and good times. I'd like to post a photo of my favorite Buck Knife to date, although my 100th 110 is growing on me...
this is the prototype of this design

My favourite always seems to be the latest one I bought. I still am new to this after all. I am really looking forward to the 124 Frontiersman that should be arriving courtesy of the bay in the next couple of days.

Thanks for the opportunity.

The Buck 110.

i remeber when I was 9 or 10 sitting out back where my dad would tie up the deer he killed an dress them. he used a 110 and I though it was just the collest knife in the world.

its this time of year that I remember how and when I began collecting Buck knives. In 1994 I married my wife and our first Chirstmas she bought me a 112 and a three stone wet stone. I still have the 112 as well as the wife:)

My favorite would have to be an old 422 with a single . on the tang (84?). I had it for a while as a hunting, hiking, and motorcycling companion. Maroonish scales, top open gold & brown nylon sheath. Somehow it got lost in the shuffle and I really missed it. As a result I found this forum, and eventually got one just like it through an Ebay purchase and some help from folks here. Ended up buying a few more and wouldn't you know it, my "original" surfaced. So now I have several, and a great place to come and chat with other knife nuts.

Thanks, Timberweasel.

Thanks for the opportunity, you can count me in!! I'm a big fan of the Deuce, don't see a whole lot of love for that model but the modded clip is great and coping, wharncliffe, or sheepsfoot is a necessity for me on traditionals.

When I got my first job as an adult (joined the Navy on my 17th birthday) I bought a Buck 110 at the PX in Yokosuka, Japan. Unfortunately, I needed to clear a fouled cable, while hanging upside down over the side, my knife got away from me and is now residing at the bottom of the South China Sea.

My favorite Buck is the 110 I got over 15 years ago....I traded a really neat Craftsmen travel mug for it !!! A friend recieved a couple knives for Christmas and had to have my new travel mug,,he offered up the 110 and I couldn't say "YES " fast enough...I made it my dedicated hunting knife and its been a workhorse ever since..Field-dressed and processed 5 doe and 2 Bucks so far...Countless squirrels and rabbits as well...

The Buck 110..All a hunter would ever need..

Thank You for the generous offer!
My favorite Buck is the 112. It was my first Buck and served me well for many years. I bought it with saved up paper route money and it cleaned many fish and cut whatever was needed cut. It followed me into the Coast Guard and worked very hard there while I was a deck hand...alas...one day while mending some cargo netting on the Heli Deck....over the side she went to the bottom of the Bearing Straits of AK. I've acquired a bunch of 112's in the last few years....but none will ever replace that first one!

My favorite Buck was my first knife. My father bought it for me for my 8th birthday, I don't remember the model but it was the triple bladed folder real similar, if not the same, as the one in the giveaway. I got my safety lesson and was let free to go carve and whittle. I cut myself about 10 minutes later because my little brother was in my face and I had to cut towards myself to avoid cutting towards him. I had to bread rule #1 to abide by rule #2. I ended up losing it somewhere, don't remember where, when, or how, but I miss that knife most of all. Thanks for the opportunity! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
