Thanks for all your great help in my other thread guys, it really means a lot to me to find some people who are will to take a moment and answer a question for me:). As the title implies its time to make my first friction folder, I have made about 15 knives and a handful of titanium ones and some ti dog tags and I feel I'm up for a good challenge. I have no idea where to start, what pivot sizes to buy, the best place to buy them (thinking of knife kits). Im not afraid to spend some extra money to get the job done so don't hold back any advice for me!

Thanks in advance, Alex.

I don't have much to add other than I am ordering my pivots from usakniemaker. I know very little about all of this since I also just started my first friction folder tonight. I started by making multiple templates out of cardboard and using push pins to simulate the pivot and stop pins to get a proper location marked out. So far I have a template of the blade, scales and spacers mocked up in 3/32 mild steel and pinned. Tomorrow I will drive the pins out and use the mock up knife as my template for the real thing. I'm very interested to pick up any knowledge others will post here.

I am also starting my first friction folder. It might be beneficial for the three of to hook up via email or phone to share info. If you think that it would be beneficial, shoot me a email.

There are some great tutorials and WIPS in the stickies. I am going to try a folder after my current batch of knives is completed.
