Time for....

If it really came down to one thing, I'd have to say that materials takes the top spot in qualifications. Now, that's not to say that quality doesn't come into the picture, as I find that if the maker has the investment in the materials, the quality is likely to follow.

Materials had better be of decent quality, and I usually look for a minimum of AUS 8, or 440 C for blade material. Ideally I look for S30V, D2, or 154CM, and if it has ZDP189, or SG2, or whatever the newest tried steel is, I know it's gonna work for me. I'll stop with blade steel, as I could go on about other aspects.

I'm betting you spent around $331.

The one feature I look for (first) when making a knife purchase is...

...the Kershaw logo! :D

I'm guessing you spent $373, even if it was by proxy...

Thanks for the give-a-way Joe!

Ray :)

Christ people, is asking for a specific feature that complicated?

Why yes it is, especially complicated for some of us old rambling types that have a problem focusing of specifics and tend to ramble and go on and on.

Feature = Blade steel used. Of course, it is the combination of features that determines whether I pull the trigger. However, I did wait for the Shallot to be made in CPM S110V before buying one. However, I can't say that I specifically look for S110V or I'd only own the one knife. ;) Although there may be other knives made with this steel, I don't know about them.

I'll guess you spent a lot! :) Oh, more specific, how 'bout $1500.00.

Blade steel is the main thing I look for. Well, brand first, but that's not a feature. You spent exactly $344.32 in the Kershaw warehouse sale.

I too would have to say that I look for the Kershaw name. I have never run across a Kershaw that I wouldn't buy.

$544.00

AO speed! i like them snappy.

but it depends what im buying the knife for.

and i think you spent $285

We have one fortunate fellow within $26 of the prize. I just wont tell you which one!

Keep those specific features a flowin...

And good luck too all!

how could you spend -$26? Was it a refund?

Btw, is it the closes without going over? Do we need to have our pets spayed or neutered to enter?

1.) Post the one feature that you look for when making a knife purchase. Dont ramble, just one single feature that gets your attention immediately! Frame lock, specific scales, blade style/shape, steel, Flipper, AO, etc... I look for blade steel, as i try to avoid the "lower" grade steels

2.) Guess how much MONEY I spent at the Kershaw warehouse sale! The person who comes the closest without going over will win.

$251
