Time machine examines the period directly after the Big Bang

Nicely timed for this thread, Scientific American just came out with a Special Edition: The Secret Life of Stars. Great illustrations, several interesting articles on diverse cosmological issues.

Their website is at www.sciam.com/

I'm a big fan of the Hubble pics and always have one for my desktop wallpaper. It is fascinating to me that we are seeing into the past with these images. I heard they are going to defund the project though, to free up money for other stuff. If true, that's very unfortunate.

On a lighter note, this weekend I saw one of those tabloids that they put beside the checkout at the grocery store and just caught a glimpse of a headline. It was something like "Hubble Takes Picture of Alien With Pants Down"...:D

Those aliens are a fun filled lot, no doubt about it.

The photos just amaze me!!!
I save all of em I find.
Searched NASA's site a time or two and got some great ones.
I would love to figure out how to blow them up and print them and make a mural big enough to cover two walls and maybe the ceiling in my den.
Here's a pic of the Ghost Head Nebula.
Looks like God's sitting room.
