Time to give back to W&SS

I've always wanted to try to make a knife of my own, I always used to watch my father handle knives and make gun grips, but never had the opportunity to make one myself.
I think I could make some nice handle scales with some wood I have, it's a piece of wild cherry. So, yes, I would like to win.
 
I'm very impressed, guys. There are definitely some budding knifemakers here on W&SS. It was a tough decision - I won't say who the finalists were....but I can say the winner is:
