• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Man - Looks like I will be moving in about 3 weeks!! Yikes.............

Pray that I have patience my friends.I hate moving ;)

The new house will have plenty of yard for a new shop to be put up an more room in the house. It will be a good move in the long run :)

So if I drop off the face of the earth for a while I'll be back.............

here is my moving present to myself.
This is what I am calling The Personal

Its just under 8" overall with a blade of 3 1/2"
Satin 0-1 3/16" flat ground with black G-10
My first knife for myself in a long time :)

Good luck to ya buddy. Moving sucks. The knife looks great. Looks like a hollow grind?
Scott

Scott....its a flat grind. Keeping that bevel straight it tough!

Brian,
Man that's a great set of boots! Could be somewhat uncomfortable to wear with that sweet looking knife sticking out of them tho.:D Looks like it would be very comfortable in the hand...The knife, not the boots. Not sure I would want the boots in my hand.
Matt

;) hey.........I wear those boots every day :D I am on my 3rd pair in about 15 years  I am about due another huh? ;)

Looks like we are moving the same weekend. Although moving is a pain in the ass, I will be glad to no longer work out of the basement. I'll have a garage once again. I can't wait to see how hard it is to get all of that shop equipment back up the stairs.....

Hope your move goes well Brian.

I'm sure it's not that, probably the way the light is hitting the blade.:)

That is a great looking knife. Is that black G10 the canvas type? Best of luck on your move.

I love the design of that knife! It looks like a great field/utility knife that would work for camp cooking, and about any chore. Phil

its just standard G-10. It will have a pattern like Micarta if you grind into it some.

Scott - I love the look that hollow grinds have. This stock is 3/16" so the flat has a steeper transition and it over exagerates the light so the grinds really pop :)

Hey Brian, when you get ready to build a new shop give me a call, i will load up the air nailer, some tools and a few friends and we will head up there and have a shop raising!!! Good luck with the new place! I am sure when you clean up your shop to move you will find all sorts of stuff you forgot you had!

Alan

Three knifemakers moving! I am closing on the 22nd, moving the following week! Good luck! I am currently dismantling my shop....

Three pair in 15 years??? You must be mighty light on your feet, I usually wear out three pair a year....

That's about like me. I will typically wear a pair of boots for about 6-7 years. Even when I was in the Air Force, I rarely wore boots out. I guess it sall the differences in our stride.

Good luck with the move Brian! If knifemakers didn't move once in a while, their shops would never get cleaned :)

thanks for the luck fellas !

 :D

Brian, good going! A new house from all those great knives you've sold in the last couple of years! Hope the move goes well. Probably will lose a few things initially but they'll show up later on. Hurry and get that new shop built!

tryimng to talk my wife into a 14 x 20 instead of a 12 x 20 :D
