Time to Start Teasing My Design

The knife will be completed and delivered to Mr. Bain at Ethans gathering next week. As stated earlier, I will not post pics of it. That is its owners privilege. Im sure any of you interested will see something very soon.

if Ethan sells, he'll have a boatload of money for a party?

Here it is pre heat treat.

Here's E giving it a test drive at the Gathering on Sunday morning.

Here's a shot of it after I cleaned it up. It got quite a bit of use at the Gathering.

The knife was made perfectly by Todd. His craftsmanship was never a worry of mine. The worry I had was if it was going to functionally work, or suck. So far, it is working quite well, and that's coming from those that have tried it. We'll have a vid up from the gathering soon. A review vid will be coming. My hat is tipped to Todd for his impeccable craftsmanship. He is amazing at what he does. I'd trust him to make my knife if I were a blind man.

Thanks guys. These complements really mean a lot. The shots we have of the "incident" were in close up, and didn't quite catch the "bite", but I'll try to post it anyways.

Might have missed it but what are the specs?

7.75" blade length

Nice work, Rick! Wow, must have been quite a feeling to have Uncle E handling it!
Thanks, Needle. The whole experience has been amazing. This design was 5 years in the making, and I never thought it would come to reality. Having it made by Todd is just simply awesome. He's amazing at what he does. Getting this thing at the Gathering, seeing it used by several skilled hands that include 1066vik (first after me, and first blood drawn), JerryD, Cbear, TRADEWATER, Gutsy, a few others, and then Ethan on Sunday morning. Everyone had good things to say about it (Vik said, "It bit me..."), but the conversation Ethan, and I had was just inspiring. His compliments were all I needed to hear. He said a lot, but most importantly (to me) he said it works. If you know him... that means something.

SWMBO helped me remove the stitches tonight - then she needed a strong drink...
I waited too long, 3 were grown in pretty good -- 1 needed some serious digging.

as a reward, she wants me to cut up a fresh pineapple for her.

removing stitches is even more fun when they are in the mouth :P

good healing
