For those who are helping with the S! spring cleaning and ordering the last of the previous production, how long has it taken from order placement to package on your door?

Two weeks for me. It only took a couple of days to arrive once it moved from "awaiting fulfillment" (aren't we all?) to "shipped".

About the same experience as Fancier. About two weeks from ordering my 3.5 to receiving it and once i received the "shipped" email I had it in a couple days. I did order a factory second also (separate order, but ordered on the same day) and I haven't seen any updated or shipped status on it since receiving the "awaiting fulfillment" email. Maybe they handle seconds ... second?

Im in the same boat as you with the factory second. I ordered it very soon after they were released but havent received anything yet. Im guessing its like you figured, that the orders for the factory seconds will be shipped after the others are out. Hopefully they will get shipped on Tuesday! Guy said they all should be shipped out by Tuesday, I am hoping that this includes the seconds.

I ordered a Factory 2nd on the 18th and so far I've received patience. Should ship this week per others responses via FB.

ordered my necker 2 when it was in stock and took 2 weeks to get here, as expected, they said 7-10 days to fill the order... yesterday i placed an order for a factory second 3.5 they expected 10-15 days to fill the order...

I did have to take a few days off over this weekend so there was a pause in the GSO-3.5 orders getting shipped out. I will get back to building and shipping those tomorrow.

As far as seconds, those don't necessarily get stuck behind regular orders. We do our best to fill the orders in the order that they were placed. Some exceptions happen because Guy doesn't look at every order sheet before sharpening the blade, he grabs blades from piles. If the "next" knife is a CPM-20CV Factory 2nd with a ferro notch but he doesn't have any of those done at that moment, I will skip over that order until he has one ready. I hope this makes sense... I'm still on half-vacation.

Ellie, nice to see you back. But really, if you have Monday off then take Monday off =)

Thanks for the info!

Ok, thanks. Hope it was just Easter stuff and you weren't sick or something. I ordered my second and regular in different handles so I'm wanting to see which I like more. I'm probably going to be ordering from the starter so wanted to make sure I know what handle(s) I want :-)

I ordered a 3.5 2nd on the 18th as well. Guy posted on FB that most of these will ship Tuesday (yesterday). Ours should be in the mail already. Hope it gets here by the weekend. I have a little get together and one of my knife buddies has never seen a S!K.

I know once he sees it, he'll be a customer.

I am hoping ours are in the mail but I am a little doubtful since my status is still showing "awaiting fulfillment"

Yep, just checked mine and it's still "awaiting fulfillment" too. Of course, today is the 15th business day so hopefully it will ship soon.

3 calendar weeks today for mine, couple emails with no replies....Not OK. SK! makes a great product. Don't get me wrong. I'll do more business when they're more efficient. Until then, I'm spending my money elsewhere.

There were a lot of orders placed for the GSO-3.5s, all within a couple of days. We will be getting them shipped out as quickly as we can.

I had to go home for my friend's wedding this past weekend. That was my first trip home in over 2 years so my family took up most of my spare time. I got back Monday and spent the rest of the day getting caught up on the admin stuff. Yesterday was mostly spent building GSO-3.5 orders. I will be going through emails this morning. Right now it is only the two of us and sometimes we have to have a little bit of a life.

We are gaining a full time employee in a couple of months. He worked with us in Gettysburg and is graduating from college soon. He will definitely be an asset.

It must get tiresome having to post about you personal life to justify taking a weekend off. What is so difficult to understand that you will get your knife when you get it. I get that the fine folks at Survive! have their plates full at all times and having to answer to people daily for orders taking too long is a waste of time.

Just go with the Busse model and just keep saying 2 weeks for everything.

For those expecting their ordering experience with SURVIVE! to be the same as ordering from Knifeworks or bladeHQ there will be some disappointment or confusion.

When you actually know what goes on behind the scenes and follow this company (all 2 of the employees) you can easily see that it is a different situation. Guy and Ellie are living the American dream, starting a company and making something they love at the highest standard possible. They are not a warehouse filled with inventory ready to go.

Were all imperfect people thriving to do better. Myself included. No explanation needed of taking time off from work. It's necessary.
Timelines can be troublesome. Provides a sense of hope/false hope when that something doe's/doesn't happen. Eliminate time and treat it like a full custom. I know. I own several.
10 seconds is all it takes to acknowledge someone. Something is better than nothing. We can all do better. That's the point. My intention is to help build, support and encourage Ellie and Guy @ Survive. Lifelong customer.
My apologies if I upset anyone.

I'll add that I didn't start this thread to create negative energy, I was just being obsessive and wondering what to expect when I make an order on a knife that hasn't even been re-released yet. Yes, I am fixating that much =)
