Well my wife got me a Timex Expedition with a digital compass for early father's day present.

Have any of you used one of these before or have any thoughts about them? It seems to work very well, although I have to recalibrate the compass every so often if it gets wacky, but it doesn't seem to hard and something I can do in the woods without any other compass aruond.
 
when you recalibrate, do you enter the declination, or use magnetic? I think magnetic may be better because you may not always have the declination info for every place you travel... unless you look them up ahead of time.
