I will be attending the Chesapeake Knife Show in Timonium, MD on December 12. I hope to meet some Bladeforum members there. Say hi if you see someone with a red Thunder Ranch ball cap on. It should be me. For a one day show, a lot of big name makers and dealers usually attend. I attended last year and thought it was a great show.

See you there,
Damon

Damon,

I'm planning to be there. It will be my first knife show. I'll look for you.

I'll have to decide on something distinctive to wear.

That's a good show. It's the kind of show where if you like a knife, you'd better buy it, because it's unlikely to still be there after a trip around the room.:-)

My brother Barry and I will be set up at this show. Last year was the first time we had done this show and it was well worth it. The high caliber makers along with a public packed in like sardines made for a wild time.

Everything TomW said is true.

There will be a V.I.P. hour for those that want first chance at some of the goods. Some makers sold out before the show opened to the rest of the public.

See you all there, It will be nice to put faces with some of these user names.

The table holders names can be found at www.knifeshows.com.

This will be my 10th year at the show. It is a great little show. The best for it's size in the country.

The show is from 10-6. A word of advice, show up early. I have to agree with TomW (hey first time for everything), this is the type of show, if you want it buy it. The chances are very good it will not be there when you come back.

Every year I get the "be back's" who come back and the knife is gone.

Yes, there are absolutely no Auto's on the table. Does not mean there are none at the show "wink wink".

See you at the show.

Les

I'll be there. Allright now, Stop it already everyone. All this talk about crowds and be early and such. I think I'm going to have to eat the money and come really early (like the night before) and camp out. Your just making the problem WORSE. I've been a 'be back' before. But Boy, did I learn alot. I have a HUGE stack of business cards and I met a lot of nice folks. And I did meet more than a few makers that I will visit immediately. I won't tell you who. Les, I'll be looking for YOU too (uh oh). I'll also look for the Jones Bros. Thanks for your contributions to bladeforums. By the way, I'm the big stupid ugly looking guy with a big smile and a wise ass.

Ah, the show is a clean mile from my house!!!!

Les, saw you there last year; nice table!

In '98 I left with a Dake D/A and a Pease lockback, two top pieces. Talked with WD Pease, J. Etzler, Gilbreath, T.Anderson, Gil Hibben (fellow Kenpo black belt), among others.

Absolutely going to wear the Bladeforums T-Shirt!

Been savin' my pennies.....!

For those planning on the night before in the hotel be sure to check the Red Roof Inn. It's right next door and a couple guys at the show told me that their rates were lower than the best price staying where the show is and it's a simple walk across the parking lot. It's worth a phone call to check it out if it can save a few dollars.

If its alright with Les, Bladeforum members can meet at his table around 12 noon to match faces to names.
