I had this made last month and, while I like it a lot, it missed on some of the key features I was looking for. I gave Timothy a general idea on what I wanted and told him to make some executive decisions on how best to execute. The result is a gorgeous knife, but it doesn't really hit the notes for me. Mainly because it's a little big for me. Anyway, My loss your gain, here's a custom at a fantastic price...

1/8" thick Hand forged Damascus 1080 and 15n20 mix blade. Timothy really nailed the clip blade shape I love and it has a wonderful long pull. Tambootie wood covers with orange micarta highlights and stainless bolsters. This thing is a bear trap at a solid 8-9 pull.

The blade over travels if you let it slam shut from the half stop and hits the spring. It's not an issue if you ease it closed, and eventually it'll sharpen away. I didn't want to bother with sending it back to South Africa to have it fixed, but Timothy may be willing to if you like. I can contact him at your request. It's a little rough around the edges, the bolsters are satin finished and show some sanding marks. Asking what I have in it, $150 to your door.

Please ask questions if you've got them, I can take more pictures at your request.

US only please, customs forms are a major headache at my local PO.

Email sent, but I'll post the information here as well.

I've tried to capture the rough around the edged stuff on this knife as best I can in the pictures. Mainly it's in the bolster finishing, they're finished to a pretty rough grit (400#) and he didn't always go in the same direction with the sandpaper, meaning the finish lines go in different directions. There's one spot on the pile side end cap that's a little lower than the surrounding material. You can kind of make it out in the pictures, it's a little darker because it's in shadow. Like I said in the original listing, the biggest problem is that the blade overtravels if you let it slam shut.

Honestly, I'm pretty happy with the quality of the knife considering the price. It's hand made with maker forged Damascus and maker harvested and stabailzed wood. Timothy even made and included the little leather slip you see in these pictures. He has since sold the press he used to make the Damascus, so he won't be making any more in that steel any time soon. I'm selling it for two reasons; I want a Dr T custom, so I need to free up some cash before my name comes up in November, and it's a little bigger than I had hoped. I asked Timothy for something around 3.75" and this one came in at just a hair over 4".

Pictures I took this morning (unedited) are here: http://s304.photobucket.com/user/mrbleh/library/selling/TLC knife

Please let me know if there are any questions or if you'd like me to try and capture any of the features more carefully.
