30rounds,
Welcome to the forum and HI khukuris. As Ted says, the edges are usually convexed, but the sides of the duichirra and tin chirra khuks are "hollow forged" to create the distinctive ridges and valleys. See the Khukuri FAQs for a cross-section view of this incredible achievement of knifemaking by a man with a hammer, kneeling on the floor next to a pile of charcoal:thumbup:.

Thank You Ted and Berk for the replies. Berk, much Appreciation for pointing me to the faq section. I have read trough that section before but I guess I did not put 2 and 2 together until seeing it in context. The drawings of the cross section were just what I needed to get the visual picture of that blades “scallops” that I could not see in the photo. Thank you for your warm welcome and thanks again for the info!
Jeremy.
