Curious - where and/or how was the tinder pouch attached on the older sheaths that still had this accessory.

Looked in the FAQ and the archive; didn't find anything, but that doesn't mean it wasn't there.

Maybe those of you with a few oldies but goodies on the wall can help me out.....

If I get inspired to mess with camera and software I'll post a pic...or maybe JP or N2S have one handy...

A finely crafted khukuri with carved rosewood handle, old-style chakmak, and tinder pouch.

Out of the 6 or 8 old khuks I have acquired, only 4 have scabbards. 2 of these have tinder pouches, and one actually had tinder in it.
How much is antique tinder worth? Maybe I should ask that on the Levine forum...;)

Really nice kukris guys, thanks for the good pix. Along with the tinder pouch there was sometimes a small piece of flint stuck in the pouch that holds the pouch. I have also found small pieces of paper with prayers or some type incantation tucked in there too.
