Had a small pc. of 3/16 1095 laying around and thought I would try something real different. This is for someone with small hands. That's my wife holding the kife. The quarter gives you some idea of the size. This is not just a pretty pc of jewlery. This is a real knife that has been hardened and tempered to probubly about a RC 58-59. Mirror Finish. Price $35 delivered to the lower 48. Comments? Thanks, Ken

Thanks, no it not as sharp as my "usuall" Palm knives, but then again it does not have to be it will shred or open someone up the way it is. No sheath yet. Im playing around with the idea of making it into a pendent of some type (point up) so it can be worn in plain sight. Of course a pocket sheath could be made if someone wants one. I have some thin brass around here and I may do some decorative chasing work on it. Ill post and let you know. By the way the Hawkbill is going up as soon as I get some coffee in me. I really like the way it came out. Ken

A SD item of this nature need not be sharp, as it is more of a custom punch ring than a knife. On the street I've seen sewing scissors and tire repair tools used as punch knives, neither of which has anything more than a point. This is a lot classier.

If you want to make a pendant, leather or wood with a rare earth magnet inside should work.

I was actually thinking about leather with a magnet earlier. But now that you mention it wood would be a nicer alternative. Finished another one earlier this one is a little longer with a defined edge. Probably put it up tomorrow if I dont sell it tonight.
