TINY quality brass compass... but...

Although these look like a piece of crap, they really are quality, as well as being a neat bit of kit! I bought one just to play with and use in my classes, (along with 2 or 3 others) and found it is as accurate as any of the others. My only complaint was that since it is not liquid filled, nor does it have a dampened needle, it tends to "jiggle" alot. But what can you expect from a micro-mini button compass!! You need to set it on a steady surface (non-ferrous of course!) to read it with any relative accuracy. Although this would never be my primay compass, it has been put into service as my survival compass in my mission vest.

Mike, when you say 'these', which ones are you referring to? (Hope I didn't miss it :o )

I hear you. :) A WHOLE lot of absolute classic blues, country and rock records came to us in part, via Kalamazoo.

I still can't justify $20 for a button compass. I have a dirt-cheap one that points pretty close to north, and a $15 Silva that's quite good. Still spent less than that one, on both. *shrug*
