I decided to try and wear out the Tiny Terror today by taking her on one of my toughest local hikes !

Here she is getting a little air time as she chases after Maisy....

As we pushed on the trail gains hight rapidly but the Terror races up inclines as if they are declines leaving me and Maisy trying to keep up ,huffing and puffing like two 20 packs a day smokers !!!!

When we reached the top Maisy's look told me it was time to break out the Milk-bones.......

Here Maisy's expression tells me to put the camera away and just give her the bone !!!!!!

The Terror makes hard work of eating these......

With both girls fed it was time for me to kick back and have a cup of tea, I look pretty miserable again here but it was just due to trying to get the auto timer right !

I love the colour of the Arbutus trees up here....

Good effort with the dogs, they look content after their walk.

Anyone else look at the Arbutus tree and think, 'wonder if I could get some nice knife scales out of that?'

Wow, looks like you wore em out a little :D

Nice pics, makes me want to have a view like that.

Cool Arbutus tree, it is related to the manzanita. Also the name Manzanita is sometimes used to refer to Arbutus species. Cool tree, that looks identical to Manzanita, such awesome wood. It does make great knife scales. I know Koyote has used manzanita in the past.

Yeah your right buddy,

The word manzanita is the Spanish diminutive of manzana (apple). A literal translation would be little apple. The name manzanita is also sometimes used to refer to species in the related genus Arbutus, which is known by that name in the Canadian area of the tree's range, but is more usually known as madroño, or madrone in the United States.

AAHAHAHAHA great pics buddy! i love Maisy's expression........its kinda like she is saying: "DUDE! WTH WAS THAT?"

Great pics. Nothing spells content like a wore out dog relaxing on a couch or chair.

I'm worn out just looking at the terrain and your dogs! I'm hitting the couch with a couple milkbones myself! (bachelor ... too tired to microwave a frozen dinner)

Great pictures and hiking spot!

Man I like see the green in your shots. Ha ha, I noticed that you fed each dog half a milk bone. You take a bite, then they get the rest is how it goes eh? Milkbones are actually kind of good come to think of it...

What breed is the little one? I have an old terrier mix, 18 LBS, 8 years old, that would have been a superb hunting dog, but she was an abused stray and shy. Smart as a whip. Black and tan with white eye brows.

She is a long legged Jack Russell terrier...within 20 mins of posting the pics she was jumping around like a flea on speed again and is still going now over 5 hrs later !!!!!!:(
