Tip down?

I prefer tip-up for thumbhole/stud openers and tip-down for flippers (most of my knives are less than 3-1/2 inches blade length).

I prefer tip down as it is the most ambidexterous of the carries. Actually, although I am predominantly left-handed, I prefer a right-handed tip down clipped in my left front pocket. It is simple matter to turn the back of your hand inward for the left-handed draw, and the knife is in a natural position for the reach-across, right-handed draw.

After reading this thread I decided to give tip-down a try. When I have been going on bike rides, I have been carrying my knife tip-down, clipped to my waistband. I'm starting to really like this orientation.
