Some time ago, I purchased an inexpensive 14" reliant bandsaw to be used exclusively for handle materials. It has worked out well. The cheap flex-backed belts are fine for many jobs, but, not for any kind of micarta-they just don't last. I recently purchased a 3 TPI x 3/4" carbide tipped bandsaw blade from Woodworker's Warehouse. It is THE BOMB! It EATS micarta and G10 like it was balsa wood! Definitely worth the price tag ($80-$100)
If you're tired of blade wandering and stalling, get one!

i bought a carbide tri-master blade by lenox. it's awsome. it's 3/4 wide, 3tpi also. i love carbide blades. they're awsome for resawing. have fun, but watch your fingers, them things are nasty blades, they'll cut you good, be careful.

i'm almost afraid to use it. i'm gonna put that tooth protector they give to you when youi buy the blade, back on it.
