Tip of the day - Folder Parts

Did the Chesapeake Knife Show this past weekend and ran into a new manufacturer of PRECISION folder parts.

Rick Hinderer is a custom knifemaker. He just purchased some very expensive CNC machines and is making folder parts. He is holding tolerances of +-.0002. That is PRECISION.
Below is a list of what he makes (says there will be more coming soon).

titanium thumb-bobs
ambidextrius thumb-bobs (stainless)
barrel pivots (1/8 - 3/16 - 1/4 - stainless)
step pivots (416 & hardened 440c)
stainless screws
corby bolts (brass, n/s, s/s, & titanium)
loveless bolts (brass, n/s, s/s, & titanium)

He can even do small runs on custom parts to meet your needs.

I know of several makers that are really happy with Rick and his parts. He is a pretty good guy to deal with.

Thanks for the good comments.I will be getting my catalog out real soon.I have so many styles and designs for different parts that it will be a ongoing update.I will also be getting a website up and running.As Barry said I did purchase a new state of the art cnc lathe,which is enableing me to get extremely accurate pivots,thumbbobs ext.So if you have any need for parts in either my catalog items or a custom design just drop me a line and I be happy to work with you to get you just what you need.Thanks!!
