You may already know this.
Try putting a few drops of soap in the water you use to catch grit and cool things off. It keeps the water molecules form hooking together right so the grit can't float.

Matt, wouldnt the soap hurt that thing that has been living in my dip bucket for the last 3 months?

He was about to claim equal rights and he want to vote I think...

Seriously, the soap bit works I tried it this morning...

Also another addative tip is if you are wet sanding a finish on a blade or handles add some Jet Dry dishwasher stuff to the water, it keeps the surface tension nice and thin so it just flushes the extra grit right away..

I think we're all on the same page with Dawn. It slows down corrosion, too, since it's a base. That's why I started doing that, actually.
