I use a material called Easy Liner on my work table. It is a shelf liner that you can get in most discount stores. Comes in 12 inch x 12 feet and I cut it into 12 x 12 inch pieces.
It lets the grit and junk fall thru and the top stays clean. Costs a couple bucks and lasts. Keeps small parts from sliding around, too.

Thanks Kit.
My wife has some of that.
Now if I can get her to give me some...

Hey Kit...

Is this the same stuff that keeps things from sliding around ??

If so I've used it under machines that vibrate slightly and it really cuts the vibrations down...

Actually I keep a large piece of it in the box with my wine pump because it likes to wander around on the table. This stuff keeps it from doing that...

Great tip Kit..
