I see splashes of apparant controversy regarding tip up or tip down carry for folders. I never thought about it, of course, until I purchased my first folder and now begin to wonder. Why the contraversy and what are the arguments.
I just got my new W. jr. and am utterly delighted with it. It is soooo solid for such a light weight device. Within a couple of days I can't imagine getting along without it. Now for the care and feeding part - how often should the pivot be lubricated? And, to test the envelope, let's say I unzipped a couple of salmon with it, and couldn't really clean it until the day's end. That means dried fish bits and heaven know what else in the mechanism. Could you run this thing through the dishwasher and then relube it. Or is it best to clean it some other way?
Thanks,
Jack
