Tip-up or Tip-down carry?

both! one in each pocket, a sheath knife on your belt and pocket knife in some pocket or somewhere! Doesn't everybody do it that way??

I started carrying a Buck Crosslock (a tip down knife) which probably has affected my objectively, but I don't care for Tip-up knives. I realize that there are many fine knives that are Tip-up, but I don't believe you will ever find them in my pocket.

Well since noone else has mentioned it yet, an advantage to tip-down carry is that the pivot stays out of your pocket and doesn't collect lint and debris.

I own knives with both configurations and I don't notice a difference in speed when grabbing and opening them.

At one time I liked to have my knives as tip down carry, but have grown fond of tip up carry. It just feels more natural for me in this position.
