I prefer autos that are tip up, but either way is fine.

Thank y’all for all the advise. Yes right front pocket with spine against the pants seam and nothing else in the pocket. I do believe it was user error. Keys probably …., and I paid the price for my lack of attentiveness.

That's the downside of having really sharp edges - you have to be careful!
