Tip up vs tip down carry

i dont really care if it is tip up or down, as long as it holds the pocket well and carries low.

Tip up for me. Just personal preference, but I prefer this because when I reach into my pocket, I don't have to readjust my thumb onto the thumbstud.

I prefer tip up. I'm more used to the ergonomics of it and I also think it's a bit safer.

I like Tip Down. I could see using Tip Up if I carried on my belt but in the pocket I don't see any advantage, definitely slower than Tip Down for me.

I am usually a tip up man. For flippers I prefer tip down. Don't know why. Anybody else like this or am I just weird?

I'm not a tactical quickdraw, so deployment position isn't so much of an issue.
However, I like having the clip near the butt of the handle when the knife is open, hence a preference for tip up.

Obviously some knives don't allow it, so I handle 'em before I buy to make sure that the ergonomics are still good.

When given the option to try both, I always do, and I usually go with tip up.

I have always had tip up but when my Benchmade MPR gets here I will be giving tip down a try. I just got the word from Knifeworks it is on the way.:D

I doesn't really matter to me, although I do like tip-up but it's not something I really look at when buying a knife because if I like it I will buy it wether it's tip-up or down.

God intended folders to be carried tip-up, so that one's thumb naturally falls on the Spydie hole or thumb stud. :)

I carry my EDC knives on my weak side, though, so I carry tip down so the knife is in the correct attitude when I transfer it to my strong hand.
