Tips for flattening bevels?

I've got a couple of orbital sanders that I've taken off the padded backer and put on a hard backer of micarta and put those in the vise and get most of my hand sanding done that way. I think I got the idea from Ed Caffery.
 
I can't add anything on how to flatten bevels but if you grind with a Bubble Jig, no flattening is needed. The bevels are flat when you stop grinding.
