Tired of Framelock Flippers

Try something like a Curtiss Knives F3 medium and reevaluate your opinion on them. I too am over the flipper/framelock fad minus a few makers. As for framelocks.. that I can still stand behind

I prefer knives that open with the thumb. And don't know why companies have moved to flippers. ZT doesn't have a thumb operated knife in their lineup that I am aware of. I thought they made some of the best thumb flickers ever, and still look at their offering hoping for something to come back.

I have a few framelock flippers, if I didn't I would want a few.
Variety is the spice in knives and life.

I don't have anything against frame locks, but have never preferred metal handles in general and almost no one makes them in a left hand version (understandably).

At any rate, there are plenty of other options to go around and crossing them off my list has probably saved me a ton of money over the years. :D

The Zt 0850 uses a thumb stud. Relatively recent, I think it came out last year? I am to lazy to look.

Adamantium, please. Vibranium is good...if you're ok with S35VN performance.

Adamantium is an after thought when it comes to Vibranium. :)

In relation to Captain America's shield, Adamantium cannot cut through the shield because the shield is made of the original metal that was reverse engineered to create Adamantium alloyed with Vibranium to produce a metal that is stronger than true Adamantium,

I too am bored to tears with framelock flippers. They’re everywhere though, so obviously most people aren’t. I’ll take a backlock with thumbstuds, please. I like the Axis lock, too even though most of them, in my experience, always seem to have a tiny bit of vertical play. The compression lock is fun to play with too.

They seem to work great for me. I'm happy to use them as my EDC, along with others.

On my third or fourth flipper I got sick of them. It was the same time I learned to spyder flick. I could see myself going back to them, but I haven't seen one yet that's attracted me.

Of course currently I'm enjoying my small fixed blades :D knowing myself they'll eventually get uncomfortable and I'll go to something different again.

I prefer to buy American. I'm not going to contribute more to the Wakanda economy.

Now Antarctic Vibranium...thats something I can get behind.

The obsession with Ti framelocks baffles me. They do look great, and the construction is simple, so I suspect that accounts for it, but Ti is so slick, and can be either very cold to the touch or hot in the summer. Even with one side being G10 I am dubious on the Ti framelocks I own for actual use.

i know I am still on an auto kick since it is now legal to carry them in Illinois, but I was surprised at how little I cared about the ZT 0393 when I saw for sale today. I guess miracles to happen because I used to hot for every titanium flipper I saw.
Yeah you really have to think of philosophy of use when it comes to knives. Maybe some people who really put all of their weight into a stabbing motion, whether reverse grip or regular grip, need a blade stop for extra security. I certainly don't need that extra protection and use my knives for much simpler tasks. If someone is thinking maybe self defense..? well I'm licensed in something else for that.

Ive owned and do own both, but never have been crazy about framelocks or flippers either. Flippers look 'off' to me and aren't as convenient to open imo. And frame locks, although i like the design and construction of them, look like the knife is unfinished to me.

I do however like frame locks with a scale over them(spyderco ppt, shirogorov f3), allowing the knife to have the construction/strength of a frame lock while acting like a liner lock.

It depends which source you read. There are conflicting reports. Like your post which is a direct quote ( plagiarism , bro haha). There are 6 or 7 types of adamantium if memory serves. True adamantium not being the strongest. So different versions are stronger. Vibranium is the strongest metal "found on earth" , yes. But adamantium is a compound with most of its molecular structure coming from a meteorite. Otherworldly , if you will.
Also , there is enchanted Uru (Thor's hammer) and the Silver Surfer's skin which is a cosmic substance by itself. I've read that both are much harder and stronger than vibranium and adamantium. But who knows. Then some fools think that organic steel (Colossus) and Carbonadium (Omega Red) are just as strong but that's laughable.
Anyway , I'll take an adamantium blade and vibranium armor.
