Tis the season........Let's Drink!

Aspartame was developed as ant poison. Then they realized it tasted sweet and was less toxic to humans. The government used to recommend beer as a vegetable substitute. Both are true and both are awesome!

Single Malt
Hot Chocolate with Bourbon
Egg Nog with Rum

And if there is a Holiday Ganza goin' down, Extra, Extra, Extra dry Vodka martinis, clean, with a few olives...

I indulge in a little extra coffee during the holidays --- about 6-8 big mugs instead of 4-5

Helps me go from :grumpy: ............. to :D :D :D :D :D

I gotta work @ 11pm tonight (in 45 minutes), so I try to stay sober :D
The bonus with being able to work from my home office, and not my regular one, is that I can put all the knives I want on my belt

It's tea for me, PG tips with splenda and cream (yeah, I know, not like the Brits drink it).

Really wanna try that Margarita recipe from another thread though,
but I'll have to wait until next weekend if I don't have to work again.

i'm one drunk oinker! if a mod see's me delete my post before i get banned, theres not enough room in da jail house for my fat a$$

Mmmmm! Just left the motorcycle show at Quest. The Pyramid Alehouse was next door so of course we had to sample a couple Mactarnahan's ales before we headed for home. Good stuff! Thanks for reminding me about the hot buttered rums. Gotta pick up some mix and make some up.

I roll with Jeepnut22 on this one:

  • Egg Nog
  • Milk
  • A good helping of Captain Morgan

*burp*

My wife would die for egg nog cheesecake. In fact, I'm afraid to mention to her that it exists!

I imagine it's like a little slice of heaven here on earth. :)

Did I mention my wife really likes egg nog? :D

Awwww, man...I know Miami's like a different country to most of ya'll, but you have NO idea what you're missing. You've NEVER celebrated Chrimmus til you've done it poolside in shorts and flip flops next to a palm tree with a single cord of multicolor lights winding up the narrow trunk. :D

Now, we Puerto Ricans have a couple Creema (that's Christmas in spanglish) drinks that are to die for.

My mother makes this drink called Coquito (co-key-toe) which is made with coconut milk, egg, cinnamon, and Rum and a few other things. Mmm good...

Then, over on the island, they make this homemade rum called Ron Cana (Ron Can-yuh, or cane rum. Can't figure out how to type the n with the ~ over it.) which they cure for months with all sorts of tropical fruits. You show up on Noche Buena (Christmas Eve) and everyone has brought their own blend with all sorts of things like carambola, orange, guava, strawberry, kiwi, quenepa...goes down like a hog's favorite kool-aid, but if you're not careful you'll forget your name and end up in another town with no car wondering what day it is. :D

I've had cane rum. It IS spectacular.

No Coquito, though. Sounds like my wife would drink it till it came out of her pores, though. :D;)

Dood...if I can figure out a way to get it to ya without it spoiling, I'll do it. And my wife makes a crazy Flan, too. I wonder what an Egg-Nog flan would taste like. Oh man...I hafta go and wake her up. :D:D:D

Better yet...I'll get the recipe from my mother and set you up. If you have trouble finding the coconut milk, I'll ship it up. Gotta be the good stuff from Jamaica or PR.

Oh...and I didn't even mention the roasted pig, did I? Some of ya'll need to make a damned road trip.

I don't think I was drinking Ron Cana (sounds awesome), but I have woken up in a different town where no one spoke English, couldn't remember how I got there, and had no idea how to get back to the states and had no money.

Good times, Good times.

:)
