TiSpine LionSteel new knife 2013

That may be true. But Chris Reeve is aware of the fact that some Sebenza owners don't like to use pocket clips. CRK actually goes so far as to provide Titanium clip inserts that Sebenza owners can purchase to cover the cavity left in the handle when the clip is removed. I doubt they'd do that if removing the clip voids the warranty, an issue you have not addressed yet. So I'll ask you the question one more time.

Maybe you do not understand the situation. Cover the cavity left in the handle do not avoid the problem of over extention. Without the clip also Sebenza can have problems because If you push the liner in a stronger way you can delete the titanium elasticity memory. The clip avoid that.

Also SR1 has a cover for the cavity if you do not want have the clip, not for the TiSpine. I do not want that users take away the clip.

Anyway if you do not want the clip you have two alternatives:
1 buy another knife
2 pay attention when you push the liner to unlock the blade.

I'm not arguing your points, Gianni. In fact, now that I understand the double purpose of the clip, I wouldn't think of removing it even though I absolutely HATE clips. My concern is for those customers who do NOT understand the double purpose of the TiSpine clip and who don't know that they SHOULDN'T remove it. What are you going to do for them if they take the clips off and their knives get damaged simply because they didn't know any better and you didn't tell them not to?

I think that it is a worldwide rule. If you change the original item and you make a custom version of it and after that you will have problem.... It is under your risk.

Anyway, if you have the problem you have only to re-bend the locking tool and you will risolve it.

Aniway all the LionSteel knives are under warantee, I never leave alone a LionSteel user. If there will some problem with some user I will teach him how to resolve.

I know of no other company besides yours that considers removing pocket clips from their knives equivalent to making "custom versions" out of them.

I suppose we'll have to leave it at that.

Not to put words in Gianni's mouth but I should think that an overextended lock bar is a relatively easy fix and that it would be fixed as part of the warranty that comes with these fine knives. I really doubt that he is going to get into details over whether or not the clip was removed when the lockbar was overextended. Please correct me if I am wrong Gianni.

It is not problem to fix it, you are right.
But believe me, there are a lot of knives that have this problem, and no one producer inform about that.

I just watched the video BladeHQ did of this knife.

I think the dull blue version has gone right to the top of my must have list!!

Amazing!

I just happened to watch that video myself and came here looking for details about that "matte blue" version or whatever it's called. Those shinier models are gorgeous but in my mind that matte look is even better!

I also checked Lionsteel's website, but couldn't find anything about these versions? Maybe they are only there to be shown around the SHOT Show 2013? If they are indeed available to buy, please someone show me where I can get one! I'll order one this very moment :)

So much better, in my opinion, that I'll wait for the matte-finished handles to come out before I buy a TiSpine.

Nice work, Gianni. Regardless of our differences, there is no arguing the fact that the TiSpine is a GORGEOUS knife.

Just introduces the matt finished at the Shot Show for having some feedback.

At the end we have decided to keep both version, shine and matt.
As soon as I will be back in the office I update the web informations.

Shot show finished.... I have to say that I am very happy this year for both news, TiSpine and SR mini

Fantastic news about the matte version! Can't wait to get my hands on the blue one; it will look nice next to my SR1A BB.

Agreed. I'll gladly wait for the matte versions to become available before I place my order.

Very good news! I like the matte version better than the original. I will wait until they reach dealers over here in the US.

I visited my local knife store yesterday and spoke with a friend of mine who just came back from the SHOT Show. He's one of us and I respect his opinion. He said he checked out the TiSpine and was impressed with it overall. The only complaint he had was with the strength of the detent. He said the knife was VERY hard to open, especially one-handed. He qualified his remarks by stating that the knives he handled were prototypes, not production pieces. He's hopeful that the detent issue will be straightened out by the time production knives start arriving.
